Long Island native, Jim Cook has always been fascinated by nature and weather, and his photographs portray the beauty of Long Island landscapes and seascapes. An avid surfer and snowboarder, Jim is drawn to the ocean and the waves. This lifestyle has brought him to faraway places such as the distant shores of Costa Rica and the mountains of Switzerland.
Jim captures timeless moments; expressions of nature that emit a feeling. To obtain a wide range of textures and moods, he uses both film and digital mediums; 35 mm and medium format cameras.
